Comprehensive services to help you hear better

Hearing Evaluations

We are here to help you hear better and get the most out of life. That is why we offer tests to determine if you could be helped by a hearing aid. This is the first step in identifying hearing loss and determining the right management option.

During the hearing exam, you will wear a pair of headphones and sit in a soundproof booth listening to a series of low and high frequency tones. We will also have you repeat a few words to determine how well you can understand speech. The results will help us identify your percentage of hearing loss and if hearing aids will help you.

Hearing Aid Fitting

A crucial part of being successful with hearing aids is to have them fit and fine-tuned to your unique hearing needs. Just as every person is different, so is every hearing loss. Our professionals will take the time to identify what you need most in a hearing device and tailor them to you. Your hearing aids will be fit to your unique ear shape, ensuring they sit comfortably yet securely in/around your ears.

Then, using the results of your hearing evaluation, we will program your devices to meet your exact degree of hearing loss. We encourage you to come back in for follow-up appointments so we can continue to adjust your hearing aids, ensuring they are performing optimally for you.

Hearing Aid Repairs

If you are experiencing issues with your hearing aids, such as feedback or interference, an uncomfortable fit, or they are malfunctioning, they most likely need to be brought in for servicing. Sometimes a simple repair is enough to get your hearing aids performing their best again. If your devices have suffered more severe damage though, then we may need to send them to the manufacturer.

To keep your devices working their best, we recommend having them serviced and cleaned every few months.

Hearing Protection

Loud noise exposure is one of the leading causes of hearing loss, behind age. If you work in an occupation where sound levels get loud or you enjoy recreational activities that can get noisy, it’s important to protect your hearing.

At Robby Young’s Hearing Aid Center, we offer earplugs and earmolds for custom hearing protection. Individuals in law enforcement, musicians, hunters, and recreational shooters should all wear hearing protection to preserve their hearing ability.

Don’t let loud noise exposure affect your hearing ability, contact us today to try custom hearing protection for yourself!

Hearing Aids for Tinnitus

Tinnitus, also known as “ringing in the ears,” is sometimes associated with hearing loss. Common indicators of tinnitus are when you hear a buzzing, humming, ringing, or whistling sound in your ears/head when no external sound is present. For those with hearing loss, tinnitus can seem louder or more persistent because their world is “quieter.”

If you suffer from annoying ringing in the ears, hearing aids can help. At Robby Young’s Hearing Aid Center, we carry a wide range of the latest hearing technology to help you. This includes tinnitus masking hearing aids. Although hearing aids won’t stop ringing in the ears completely, they are a good option to experience some relief.
